Halloween!
Every horse owner knows that sudden rush of adrenaline when a relaxing ride or training session is instantly derailed by a flapping tarp, a shadow, or a puddle. Instead of just managing the spook, our Halloween clinic uses horse psychology and natural horsemanship to help you understand why your horse reacts and how to handle it calmly. You will learn to spot the subtle warning signs your horse gives before they react, allowing you to catch their fear and guide them back into a thinking state of mind. By working through our specialized obstacle course together, you will improve your communication needed to help your horse process new and scary things safely. This clinic is helpful for for very young and spooky horses as well as a nice variety for horses who have seen it all! What will you do?
Build trust, confidence, and connection with your horse this spooky season using the principles of natural horsemanship! The in-hand clinic will have three main parts:
1. How Horses Think: Start by learning how a horse learns, exactly why they get scared of certain things and how you can train them not to be!
2. Leadership Exercises: Master hands-on exercises to improve your leadership, teaching you exactly when to do what to help you and your horse be more confident is sketchy situations.
3. Spooky Obstacles: Put your skills to the test and conquer a wide variety of fun, Halloween-themed obstacles!
Practical Details
Duration:
1,5 hours per clinic slot.
Dates:
Between October 20th & 30th 2026
(contact us for different dates if desired)
Location:
Home Yard, Arena Hire, Livery Yard;
Anywhere we can use a safe space to work in!
Participants:
Min. 2 - Max. 3 per 1,5 hour slot.
(Booking multiple slots is possible for larger groups)
Age & Level:
Participants of all levels (age 10+) more than welcome!
Horses of all age welcome provided they can be led.
Note: This is a groundwork clinic, not a ridden one!
Price:
The clinic is €30,- per participant + a share of the arena hire fee if applicable.
The total price highly depends on how much the location charges for facility use. Usually this amounts to an extra €10-20,- for arena hire. Of course this does not apply if the use of the arena is free or seperately paid for by the organising participants.
Safety Equipment:
Every participant is required to wear a riding helmet and sensible footwear during the clinic.
